The Berg family desires that the next generation commit their lives and gifts to Jesus Christ. They also celebrate the mission of Fresno Pacific University in empowering the next generation to lead and to serve in the church and in the world. This scholarship was created to encourage students of Mennonite Brethren heritage to attend Fresno Pacific University in preparation for a life of useful service for Christ in whatever vocation the Lord might place them.
Eligibility
- Preference given to (1) direct descendants of John & Esther Berg, (2) students actively involved at Bethany Mennonite Brethren Church, Fresno, (3) students actively involved in another Mennonite Brethren Church;
- Students majoring in Biblical & Religious Studies, Intercultural Studies or Contemporary Christian Ministries/Minor;
Special Criteria
A letter of character reference from a pastor of a Mennonite Brethren Church should be mailed to: Fresno Pacific University, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave., Fresno 93702.
