Katie was a junior at FPU and was tragically killed in an automobile accident in October 2009. Katie was an outstanding student and a deeply committed Christian. She was very well-liked on campus and had a contagious smile recognizable to people who didn't even know her. She had unique passions and a zest for life. Part athlete, part fashionista and lover of baubles, bangles and boots, the serious side of Katie was that of her faith and her goal to become a science teacher. She was a young lady who was making a difference at Fresno Pacific, in her church, and in her community. Her passing significantly impacted the entire FPU community and her presence will be greatly missed.
