Funk, Welker and Judith Funk Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1984 by Mr. and Mrs. Welker Funk of Sanger, California. The Funks have spent an active life in a number of locations in the United States. Mr. Funk was an agricultural engineer by profession, and Mrs. Funk was a public school teacher. Both were deeply interested in community and church activities and very committed to enriching other's lives by their personal interest and involvement. In their later years, the Lord allowed them as mature Christians to become personally involved in the lives of young people, encouraging them to develop their lives to full potential. It was with that concern that this scholarship was established: to aid worthy Christian young people in pursuit of their academic preparation for meaningful service in a career or vocation of God's choice. It was the sincere desire of the Funks that in years to come many worthy young people should be aided as students at Fresno Pacific University.
