This scholarship was established in 2012 by Harry and Elvina Willems of Reedley, California. Elvina attended Pacific Bible Institute from 1944-45, and met Harry Willems shortly after. Harry made a decision to follow Christ in baptism and become a member of the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church where Elvina attended, and the couple soon wed. They have been blessed over 65 years of marriage with 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. This gift to Fresno Pacific University Biblical Seminary carries with it the vision and dreams of the Willems family that men and women who are called by God into the study and teaching of His Word will benefit in some measure from the resources that God has given to them. The award is determined by annual earnings on the endowment, approximately $400 annually.
