This scholarship was established by the family of Edward C. Bickmore, Jr. to encourage and assist seniors majoring in business. After serving 23 years with the U.S. Navy, Ed completed his education in business administration and opened a small consulting business as a solution to the public entity insurance crisis that crippled California in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Bickmore & Associates became incorporated in 1986 and since its founding, the business has grown from a payroll of 3 to over 100. Now called Bickmore Risk Services, the company is the largest, independent non-brokerage affiliated risk management consulting firm in the western United States and the second largest in the nation.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate senior and Degree Completion applicants majoring in business with a minimum 3.5 GPA entering senior year;
- Must meet NCAA Division II Regulations for scholarships if a student athlete;
- Evidence of a strong Christian commitment to the Lordship of Christ and the growth of His church;
- Personal character reflecting the moral and ethical standards of Fresno Pacific University.
Letter of Recommendation Requirement
This scholarship does not require a letter of recommendation.
